During the entire month of June will continue the formation and creation of Living in the World – Transmission and Practices, a project conceived by Virgilio Sieni for the new edition of Biennale Danza College, which will conclude on the 28th, 29th and 30th of June with three consecutive days of spectacles open to the public. The city of Venice, and in particular certain chosen areas, between San Marco and the  Arsenale, will be transformed for this occasion into a natural stage for the performance of young, promising talents of contemporary dance and choreography.

There will be more than 100 performers, coming from Italy, Switzerland, Slovakia, Greece, Poland, Turkey, the USA and China.
They will perform in the spaces and natural light of places like Ca’ Giustinian, headquarters of the Biennale, the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello, Teatro La Fenice and Campo San Vidal, Teatro alle Tese, Riva dei Sette Martiri and the Biennale Gardens. Each area will become an integral part of the creation process. The public will be guided in a journey where the intimate character of the closed spaces leads to the choral nature of open spaces, and vice-versa.

senza_titolo-1.jpgThere are seven training stages, the “practices” directed by internationally famous instructors, by means of which will be furnished the knowledge and instruments necessary for the realization of individual artistic projects: Prima Danza, Invenzioni, Agorà, Trasmissioni, Vita Nova, Visitazioni, Atleta donna.

There will also be three public lectures, dedicated to fundamental questions of sociology, anthropology, geography. Then there are two videos from the archives of the Biennial, and a unique interview with the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy on the centrality of dance in philosophical debates of the present. Dance remains in a continuous relationship with the other arts, from which sometimes it draws inspiration and to which it sometimes transmits its own influence. Indeed, dance finds itself in the middle of an intense dialogue; it tends to open up research on body language to important themes of our contemporary world.
