Glass is a symbol of tradition, on one side. On the other, there is modern art with its new languages and visions. The International Centre for Research on Glass and Plastic Arts (CIRVA) of Marseille, France, is the centre of perspective for these two visions. The Centre offers residency programmes for international artists, designers, and architects who wish to introduce glass in their creative process. On April 9, 17 artists from CIRVA will fly to town with their amazing pieces of glass art for exhibition Una Fornace a Marsiglia, created and curated by Isabelle Reiher and Chiara Bertola. For the first time, the exhibition will take place in two locales: at Fondazione Querini Stampalia and on San Giorgio Island.
